More than 100 million people were affected in August by natural disasters in China

According to reports, last month damaged nearly 140 million people, 367 were killed and 115 were missing. More than 3 million people had to be evacuated.

As a result of natural disasters collapsed more than 130,000 residential, 1,107,000 were in some damage. The area affected crop is estimated at 15.357 million acres. The economic damage of more than 140 billion yuan (24 billion U.S. dollars).

Basically, China suffered from typhoons, floods, droughts, landslides, mudslides and hail. In addition, there were cases of forest pest invasion: an area suffering from these forests has increased by more than 900,000 hectares compared to July (or 19% compared to August 2012). The greatest damage inflicted elements in areas of the North-East and South China.
