More than 960 million copies of juvenile fish released into the rivers of the Arkhangelsk Oblast and the Republic of Komi

 

At the end of 2012 in the area of responsibility of the Dvina-Pechora Territorial Administration Fishery Agency (Arkhangelsk Oblast and the Nenets Autonomous District, Komi Republic) in order to conserve biodiversity and increase the number of aquatic biological resources organizations hatchery reared and released into the natural habitat of more than 960 000 copies of juvenile water biological resources, including:

— in order to meet government targets for artificial reproduction in 2012, more than 21,000 copies of juvenile brown trout (trout) and 204 000 copies of juvenile Atlantic salmon (salmon);

— in order to compensate for the damage caused by economic entities aquatic bioresources and their habitats more than 49 000 copies of juvenile brown trout (trout), more than 2,000 copies of juvenile Atlantic salmon (salmon), more than 204 000 copies of juvenile grayling and over 477,000 copies of whitefish larvae.
