Naftogaz has opened a large oil field in eastern Ukraine

National Joint Stock Company "Naftogaz of Ukraine" opened an oil field in eastern Ukraine with minimal reserves of about 12.8 million tons, the press service of the company.


According to the report, at the end of 2011, the company "Naftogaz of Ukraine" received a special permit (license) for the exploration and pilot development with further oil and gas Budischansko-Chutovsky field.
"During 2012, the company conducted a geophysical studies, and in the third quarter of 2012 on a tender basis drilling of wells number 110 Runovschinskaya. As a result, it was discovered oil field — one of the largest in Ukraine over the past fifteen years ", — said in a statement.
The company also noted that the test of the Upper Carboniferous in the well oil flow 106.8 cu. m night. "According to the current estimates, the minimum resources of oil field are about 12.8 million tons", — the report says the company.
As UNIAN reported earlier, in April 2013, "Naftogaz of Ukraine" announced the opening of a new oil field in Poltava region with an initial rate of more than 60 tons per day.
"Naftogaz Ukraine" — the largest state-owned vertically integrated oil and gas company of Ukraine, enterprises which produce more than 97% of oil and gas in the country.
NAC is developing deposits, oil and gas extraction, transportation and sale of petroleum products through its own network of gas stations.
