New small missile ship Uglich went out of the factory on the Caspian Flotilla

Small missile ship (IRAs) "Uglich" 21631 Project began its transition to the Caspian Sea.

The lead ship of this project, "Hail Svijazhsk" is currently undergoing sea trials in the factory of the Caspian Flotilla.

By inland waterways to provide tug boat will be about 1.5 thousand km. Arrival of the ship to Astrakhan is expected in September.

Upon arrival at the Caspian Flotilla IRAs "Uglich" as well as "Hail Svijazhsk" will be all the steps factory and state tests in the Caspian Sea and will be included in the association until the end of 2013.


Small missile ship of Project 21631 developed by the designers of "Zelenodolsk Design Bureau" and was built by shipbuilders "Zelenodol Plant named after AM Bitter. "

It is a multi-purpose vehicle "river-sea", equipped with the most modern types of artillery, missile, anti-sabotage, anti-aircraft and electronic weapons.

The architectural appearance of the ships meet the requirements to reduce radar visibility due to the use of so-called stealth technology.

Total plans to build six ships of the project. Their purpose — the protection and defense of the economic zone of the state.
