November 12, 2012 JSC "North-Western Shipping Company" took into use the first multi-purpose dry cargo vessel of RSD49 "Neva-Leader 2" (Yard number 402) with a deadweight 7143 tons.
Plant construction — Nevsky Shipyard. RSD49 project designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau.
Court RSD49 project in accordance with the classification of the Bureau refers to the class of "Volga-Don Max" have the maximum possible size for VDSK.
Court series can be used for transportation of general, bulk, timber, grain and large, dangerous goods of 1.4S, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.1, 8, 9 IMDG and Appendix B of the BC Code in the Caspian Sea as well as in Mediterranean, Black, Baltic, White, North Sea, including voyages around Europe and in the Irish Sea in winter.
Feature of the ship (as opposed to all the other projects, "Volga-Don max" class, designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau) is the presence of a large middle-hold length 52.0 m, which allows you to carry direct flights to Europe — Caspian oversized project cargo, which should significantly affect the total financial result.
The project is designed for a class KM Ice2 R2 AUT1-C of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and meets all the requirements of the international conventions in force at the laying of the ship.
In this case, the court in displacement of the project RSD49 (as well as their prototype RSD19) are by far the largest of cargo ships satisfying dimensions of the Volga-Don canal.
With characterized VDSK draft of 3.60 m deadweight is about 4520 m, maximum deadweight in the sea at draft 4.70 m — 7143 m
Overall length of 139.95 m, overall breadth — 16.70 m, width without fenders — 16,50 m, depth — 6.00 m
Capacity of cargo holds 10,920 cubic meters. m
All holds are box-shaped, smooth, convenient for carrying cargo handling and stowage without shifting. The cargo holds 26.0 x 12.7 m (hold N1), 52,0 x 12,7 m (hold N2) and 27.3 x 12.7 m (hold N3) at a height of 8.4 m
Cargo holds are equipped with folding hatch covers of "Folding" Cargotec companies that provide 100% opening hatch.
Service speed is 11.5 knots.
As the main engines are two medium-speed diesels of 1200 kW each, operating on heavy fuel oil with viscosity up to 380 cSt. Heavy fuel located in deep tanks in the bow bulkhead, separated from seawater double bottom and double sides.
Movement and maneuverability provided by two fixed pitch diameter of 2500 mm and two rudders, bow thruster 200 kW.
In the design of the vessel is widely used advanced computational fluid dynamics, which allowed to find an optimal combination of elements of the propulsion system and hull forms, which provides high running qualities of the vessel to ensure at full speed in cargo propulsive coefficient values above 0.6.
In a large towing tank Central Research Institute. Acad. AN Krylov were performed Towing and self-test model of the vessel in order to verify the design decisions and determine ride quality that fully confirmed the earlier results CFD simulations.
Cruising at sea is 20 days.
Crew — 10 people, places — 12. Provides sanitary cabin and a cabin for the pilot.
The design life of the hull 24. The second floor is designed for distributed load intensity of 12.0 t / m. m, as well as a bucket grab load capacity of 16 tons
