OMZ-Special Steels commissioned a laser scanning

January 24.

The enterprise "OMZ Special Steels", which is part of OMZ Group, in the framework of the project "Reconstruction of automatic forging plant 12,000 ton force" commissioned laser system for monitoring parameters of forging blanks on the automated forging complex ACC 12000 ton.The total estimated cost of the project — 447 million rubles.

The basis of the system is a three-dimensional laser scanning laser scanner with radiation, eye-safe, specially designed to scan hot surfaces.

Installation allows you to scan the geometric dimensions of the product in the forging process, the product displays in the profile section of the working tools ukovki diagram of the core and the temperature field of the product.

The system software compares the three-dimensional model of forging blanks in real-time with the model (drawing) forging the future and provides a monitor installed in the room operator ACC 12000, the data from the deviation from the drawing at any point on the surface, as well as suggestions for correcting process.

All data is stored in the system, making it possible to further analysis of the process, from the beginning of forging to complete it. On the operator’s monitor output and data on the current state of the equipment and its faults, if any arise.

Commissioning of the laser scanning saves time by eliminating the forging manual operations on a marking workpieces. Obtaining the necessary information on the adjustment process ensures high precision forging process.
