Opened the second stage of Ukraine’s largest checkpoint

On the border with Poland and the European Union opened the second stage of a major automobile checkpoint in Ukraine "Jagodin." The event was attended by the head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine Ihor Kalyetnik, Chairman of the State Border Service of Ukraine Mykola Lytvyn and Chairman of the Volyn Regional State Administration Borys Klimchuk.

The amount of funding the construction of the checkpoint "Jagodin" made 80.2 million hryvnia. The funds were allocated from the state budget of Ukraine in the framework of preparations for the European Football Championship EURO 2012.

The head of the State Customs Service Igor Kalyetnik stressed that the need to strengthen this trend is due to the constant growth of turnover of Ukraine and Poland. So, for 4 months of this year, it grew by 10% to nearly $ 2 billion, the trade turnover with the EU reached $ 13 billion. "Every day here will be able to pass customs clearance of 800 trucks, 3,000 cars, 75 buses and 8,5 thousand people. A peak — 1.2 thousand trucks and 3.5 thousand cars. Number of lanes also doubled — up to 26 ", — he said.

On the "Jagodina" introduced an automated system "filter checkpoint": the scanner for trucks allows monitoring without opening the cargo bay and unloading of goods. This reduces the time of the procedures. In addition, to ensure the fast clearance of goods, vehicles and people. The customs clearance of a truck is a 2 hour bus — 30 minutes of the car on a green corridor — up to 10 minutes, citizen — 2 minutes.

Customs clearance of goods is carried out on a "single window": the declarant submits documents only once — the customs officer. After the completion of all procedures from him is looking documents. "We go to another level of taxation. Yagodinska Customs daily transfers to the budget of 10 million hryvnia," — said the chairman of the SCSU.

In addition, the checkpoint "Jagodin" provides for a separate lane "Euro-2012" to move the football team, UEFA representatives, fans and organized tourist groups.

According Kaletnik, a new checkpoint meets all European standards. "It combines the speed of customs clearance and comfort of crossing the border. We plan to train their employees on the basis of" Jagodina "- said the Chairman of the State Customs Service.
