"Tele2 Russia" in 2012-2014, will invest more than 320 million rubles in the development of infrastructure in the Voronezh region. A corresponding agreement signed yesterday by representatives of company management and the region.
Press-service of the operator reported that as part of the operator, in particular, is planning the construction of base stations to increase the capacity of the existing cellular network in the major cities and in all regional centers of the Voronezh region. It is also planned expansion of the network, allowing to provide cellular services to the population living in small and remote communities.
In December 2010, the government of the Voronezh region and "Tele2 Russia" signed a memorandum "On mutual cooperation." "As a result, thousands of people in remote settlements where there was no fixed telephone services, were able to use mobile phones at affordable prices, which is particularly important for the poor in rural areas," — said the press service of the operator.
During the period from 2005 to 2010, Tele2 investment in the region amounted to more than 1.5 billion rubles.
