The enterprise (Penza), together with partners from VELNII (Novocherkassk) have developed a device that increases the speed of the electric locomotives from 120 to 160 kilometers per hour.
Such systems are primarily supplied to our country from abroad. In particular, the German company "Siemens".
According to the director of development of the transport direction of NPP "Technoproekt" Andrei Nazarov, domestic analogue is capable of operating under more severe conditions, particularly at low temperatures. And it is several times cheaper than the German equipment.
Developments Penza scientists already have over a hundred domestic electric locomotives.
