Plant for production of nanoclay in the Bryansk region running at full capacity in October

On the eve of the Bryansk region governor Nikolai Denin discussed with the CEO "Metaclay" Sergei Shtepa implementation of high-tech project in Karachev. The plant will produce nanoclay materials based on it, are in high demand in the oil and gas, food and cosmetic industries as well as in the pharmaceutical and automotive industries.

Technology CJSC "Metaclay" allows to obtain nanocomposites in the polymer matrix which is uniformly dispersed exfoliated (distributed) nanoparticles montmorillonite modified in a special way.

The clay — is a common term for a clay mineral with phyllosilicate or sheet structure, the thickness of sheets which is of order of 1 nm, and the linear dimensions of the surface was 50-150 nm. The mineral substrate may be both natural and synthetic, and it is hydrophilic. The surface of the clay can be modified with various chemicals to make them organophilic properties and thus made compatible with the organic polymers.

At present, the plant has launched production of products that are shipped the largest Russian manufacturers of electric cables. At full capacity, the plant will work the same in October when the facility will be fully prepared for this.

Note that the high-tech enterprise of "Metalkey" in Karachev will produce nanoclay materials based on it, are in high demand in the oil and gas, food and cosmetic industries as well as in the pharmaceutical and automotive industries.
