Lipetsk, May 30
Japanese resident of a special economic zone (SEZ) "Lipetsk" — the company YOKOHAMA — opened its first factory in Russia for the production of tires.
"The original power plant, built with the latest eco-efficient technologies, will amount to 1.4 million tires per year. Its construction has already invested about 6 billion rubles. Later on their investment in the Company will increase to 12 billion rubles, and the volume of production increases to 3.5 million tires per year. At the plant in the future will be created 1.3 thousand jobs, "- told the RIA Novosti news agency.
At the first stage of the new plant is planned to produce winter tires premium. Later will be established and the production of summer tires with different radii. Deliveries of tires on the market will begin in the second half of this year.
Who took part in the opening ceremony of the enterprise presidential envoy to the Central Federal District Alexander Beglov noted that such projects — "means new jobs, new technologies, high-quality products."
In turn, the Japanese Ambassador to Russia Tikahito Harada said that the opening of the plant YOKOHAMA is a symbol of Sino-Russian economic relations and encourages the coming in of the SEZ "Lipetsk" new Japanese residents.
The regional governor Oleg Korolev confirmed the intention of the local authorities to continue to provide full support to investors.
"The first step in the new plant is planned to produce winter tires premium brand YOKOHAMA. Besides the winter of tires here will be established and the production of summer tires with different radii. Deliveries of tires on the market will begin in the second half of 2012", — concluded the spokesman.
