Shipbuilders of "Plant of Nizhny Novgorod Ship" (KIT) (Bor, Nizhniy Novgorod region) September 13, 2011 laid the keel of icebreaking tugs to carry out the project TG04M Reidovo-maneuver operations at the port of Dudinka. "Port 2" — the second ship under construction at the plant commissioned by MMC "Norilsk Nickel".
Port tug -1 successful in Dudinka
The tug is built under the modernization program of port fleet Polar Transport Branch of "Norilsk Nickel". Under the terms of the contract delivery of the vessel to the port of Dudinka will be carried out in the summer of 2012.
Tug "Port 2" built with the introduction of the designer — JSC "Marine Engineering Bureau" — upgrades to the project documentation. Working documents executed by KIT-Engineering.
The tug is designed for all kinds of Reidovo-shunting in the harbor basin (basin discharge "O" with the regulation of shipping by sea). The vessel is designed to operate as intended at low negative ambient temperatures (operating temperature range from + 25 º C to minus 30 º C) and the preservation of functionality after settling with frozen in ice.
The first vessel of the series, "Port 1" — the first of a new generation of river tugs and pushers to work on the inland waterways of the Russian Federation — has been put to use Polar Transport Branch of OJSC "MMC" Norilsk Nickel "in September 2009. He has successfully replaced in the auxiliary fleet tug built in 1969.
