Power Machines and Toshiba are building the plant transformers in St. Petersburg

Construction of the plant is high-voltage transformers on the areas of OJSC "Power Machines" in the industrial zone "Metallostroy" (Kolpinsky district of St. Petersburg). The plant is a joint venture of OJSC "Power Machines" and the corporation Toshiba.

The main products of the plant will power transformers and autotransformers 110-750 kV power more than 25 MVA, including three-phase and 500-750 kV shunt reactors.

Design capacity — more than 10,000 MVA per annum. Planned number of employees — about 350 people. The total investment in the plant will be more than 5 billion rubles.

The plant is scheduled to end in 2013.
