Power Machines increased their commitment to the project for the construction of hydroelectric power station Sant Joan in Brazil

OJSC "Power Machines" will manufacture and supply spare parts for previously manufactured two hydroelectric generators belonging to the hydroelectric power plant under construction in Brazil, "Sao Joao" and will provide services chief supervision for installation.

Appropriate additional agreement to the contract signed between the "Power Machines" and Brazil’s state energy company "Eletrosul» (Eletrosul SA). Completion time delivery of equipment — December of this year.

Earlier in accordance with the terms of the contract signed "Power Machines" in 2008 with the Brazilian engineering company Energ Power, and later directly to the end customer c construction of the plant — the company Eletrosul SA, «Power Machines" produced and delivered to the construction of two hydroelectric power plant "Sant Joan "Two of hydro capacity 39.69 MW each. Start the first hydraulic unit is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year, the second — in the first quarter of 2012.

Participation in the construction of Brazilian hydroelectric power — the continuation of the success of "Power Machines" in the Latin American energy market. Last year, the operation was launched two new hydropower plant with production equipment "Power Machines" — "Los Caracoles" in Argentina and "La Higuera" in Chile. For the Argentine station "Power Machines" designed and manufactured two hydroelectric capacity 60.78 MW each complete with hydro and accessories. For hydropower in Chile Russian power engineering company produced and delivered two hydro-power 77.5 MW each complete with excitation systems.

Now "Power Machines" involved in the construction of hydroelectric power station "La Yesca" in Mexico, for which manufactured and supplied two turbines and two generators with a capacity of 375 MW, as well as in the construction of Argentine plant "Punta Negra" for which "Power Machines" made two turbine 32 MW each, including pre-turbine valves and regulatory equipment, as well as two complete generator with excitation systems.
