Power Machines produced the first generator for the Leningrad NPP-2

Contracts to supply a set of basic equipment machine room for equipment under construction Novovoronezh NPP-2 (NV NPP-2) and Leningrad NPP-2 have been signed between the "Power Machines" and OAO "Atomenergoprom" in May 2008. The total contract value is more than 40 billion rubles.

NV NPP-2 and Leningrad NPP-2 — is the first nuclear power plant to be built in Russia "from scratch" in the last 15 years.
In accordance with the terms of the contracts "Power Machines" should provide the design, manufacture and supply of four complete turbines, including steam turbines, condensers and the main turbine auxiliary equipment systems (heat exchangers and pumps, pipelines and piping necessary fittings), as well as four sets of turbine generators with equipment support systems, excitation system and the agent. In addition, the "Power Machines" will carry out supervision inspection for assembly and start-up works on the NPP sites.
Previously, "Power Machines" produced and successfully tested two steam turbines with a capacity of 1,200 MW — one for Leningrad NPP-2 and NV NPP-2, as well as 1,200 MW turbogenerator for NV NPP-2.
Speed steam turbines and turbo-generators with capacity of 1,200 MW of nuclear power — this new development "Power Machines", focused on a new generation of nuclear power units with enhanced reliability and security that are created in the Russian Federation in the framework of the "NPP-2006". Turbine generators T3V-1200-2, which are designed and manufactured for NV NPP-2 and Leningrad NPP-2, are developed from a series of turbine generators with a full water cooling — high-performance turbo-generators and explosion safety for nuclear power plants that have no analogues in the world nuclear power engineering.
Fundamentally new design solutions turbine generators have been worked out by specialists of "Power Machines" on the 800 MW turbine generators operated for a long time and Perm Ryazan GRES, as well as the capacity of 890 MW turbine generator, manufactured in 2010 for the fourth unit under construction Beloyarsk.
