Power Machines produced the last of the four turbines for the second unit of Leningrad NPP-2

OJSC "Power Machines" produce and test a high-speed steam turbine capacity of 1,200 MW. This is the last of the four turbines generating "Power Machines", to be installed at existing nuclear power plants in the Russian NPP-2006 project.

The turbine will be installed on the second power unit of the Leningrad NPP-2.

Contracts for supply of main equipment of the machine room for equipment Novovoronezh NPP-2 and Leningrad NPP-2 were signed between "Power Machines" and OAO "Atomenergoprom" in May 2008. At each nuclear power plant will be built on two power units with VVER power capacity of 1,200 MW.

Under the terms of contracts "Power Machines" provide the design, manufacture and supply to Novovoronezh and Leningrad NPP-2 four sets of steam turbines, condensers and auxiliary equipment for the individual turbine systems, as well as four sets of turbine generators with equipment support systems, excitation system and the agent.  

In December 2010 he was made and presented to the customer a prototype model of the turbine, designed for the first unit of Novovoronezh NPP-2, in September 2011, made the first turbine unit of Leningrad NPP-2, in November 2012 — for the second turbine unit of Novovoronezh NPP-2. Also, to date, produced four turbine generator in accordance with this contract.
