RAC MiG started to supply the Indian Air Force modernized MiG-29


JSC "Russian Aircraft Corporation" MiG "(part of" United Aircraft Corporation ") began to supply the Indian Air Force modernized MiG-29. The first three cars delivered to India at the transport plane An-124.

Modernization significantly expands the range of tasks undertaken by MiG-29. The upgraded aircraft, along with the expansion capabilities to combat air targets, acquire the ability to attack ground (surface) mobile and stationary targets with precision weapons at any time of day and weather conditions.


The first flight of the upgraded MiG-29UPG held February 4, 2011 at the airport Flight Research Institute named after Gromov.

The contract provides for repairs and tuning of aircraft for the purpose of extending the life of 3,500 flight hours and service life of 40 years. The development of the RAC "MiG", confirmed by experience of modernization in a number of countries, can significantly extend the life of the MiG-29.
