Red Wings airline and leasing company "Ilyushin Finance Co." / IFC / signed agreements to purchase at lease 30 aircraft in Russia. The documents were signed during the MAKS-2013 air show in Zhukovsky near Moscow.
In addition, Red Wings and IFC signed a memorandum of intent to acquire 10 leased aircraft MS-21. Delivery of the first machine is scheduled for 2019, the remaining aircraft should come to the airline for three years on three aircraft per year.
Another pre-contract agreement was signed to acquire 10 turboprop Q400, which will be built in Russia. Recall during the MAKS-2013 was signed a joint venture agreement between the state corporation "Rostekhnadzor" aviakontserna and the Canadian Bombardier Q400 to localize production in the territory of the port special economic zone in Ulyanovsk. IFC has signed a memorandum of intent to acquire 50 Q400 aircraft of Russian origin.
Additionally IFC announced that for the Red Wings aircraft will be delivered in collaboration with "State Transport Leasing Company" / GTLK / to be the owner of the aircraft on a par with the IFC. The agreement was between the leasing companies were also signed at the air show in Zhukovsky.
As previously reported, in April the Red Wings owner Alexander Lebedev said that he sold the company for 1 ruble group of investors. They were the brother of a co-owner of the "Gut" Sergei Kuznetsov and investment group GHP Mark Garber. The transaction improved the financial position of the company.
