In the Rostov region "revived" the work of small airports for passengers on domestic routes, to this end, in the region approved the concept of the development of small aircraft until 2030. The corresponding decree was signed today by Governor Vasily Golubev, the press service of the regional government.
"To date, the industry is represented by more than 150 aircraft that serve the agricultural land of farmers and agricultural enterprises", — explained in the government. According to plans, the work will be restored to domestic airlines, and the development of land-based airport infrastructure will be based on public-private partnership.
"This is a resuscitation of the former small airport on the basis of which to stay and work the runways, such sites are in Volgodonsk, Belaya Kalitva Novoshahtinsk and other cities in the region," — told Itar-Tass in the Federal Service for Transport Supervision of the Southern Federal District. The interviewer noted that with the release in 1994 of the law on the activities of small airports, almost all of them have ceased to carry passengers as well as systems do not meet the new requirements of the operation.

As explained in the Federal service, to be licensed to carry passengers on short-haul aircraft grade An-24 and Yak-40 must meet rigorous standards life operation of the airport. This document consists of a list of rules for 200 pages.
