Russia in January-July 2012 increased the production of poultry meat (in the manufacturing sector of the industry) by 17.2% compared to the same period last year — up 1.9 million tons, according to the materials of Rosstat.
Production of other types of meat for the same period increased by 9.2% to 710,000 tons. The manufacture of sausage products increased by 2.4% to 922 thousand tons of meat products — by 17.7% to 844 thousand tons. Issue of canned meat fell by 7% — to 307 million cans.
The production of fish and fish products, including canned, seven months decreased by 3.4% to 2.0 million tons.
Production of liquid-treated milk increased by 8.8% — to 3.1 million tons of yogurt — by 5.3%, to 611,000 tons. Issue of butter decreased by 2.3% — to 127,000 tons.
Rosstat also reports that the production of wheat and wheat-rye flour in January-July fell by 3.8%% — to 4.9 million tons. Long-term storage of bakery products were produced 3.7 million tons, which is 1.6% below the same period last year. Production of sunflower crude oil increased by 93.9% to 2.2 million tons.
Production of mineral and carbonated (unsweetened) water increased by 8.8% — to 6.5 billion half-liters. Release of fruit and vegetable juices increased by 8.1% — to 1.6 billion cans, nectars and other fruit drinks — by 3.7%, to 1.7 billion cans.
