Royal Australian Navy adopted a helicopter MRH90
Royal Australian Navy officially adopted the new multipurpose helicopter production MRH90 euro consortium NHIndustries, reports Defence Talk.
Taking ceremony of the machine into service was accomplished on the basis of the Royal Australian Navy Albatross in a new South Wales. Immediately it was announced and the development of 808 Squadron, part of which includes new helicopters and MRH90.

Currently, armed with the Royal Australian Navy are 15 helicopters MRH90. In total, the Australian military should get 46 of these machines. In the Navy they will change outdated multipurpose helicopters UH-60 Sea Hawk and SH-3 Sea King. First tests of the newest machines for the Royal Australian Navy were held in November 2009, and the first military MRH90 received in late 2010.

MRH90 capable of speeds up to 300 km per hour to fly a distance of 800 km. The machine is designed to transport up to 20 soldiers.
