Russia has signed a contract with Indonesia to supply fighter

General Director of "Rosoboronexport" Anatoly Isaykin reported that Indonesia will be delivered six aircraft development company "Sukhoi".

"The contract for six aircraft, and they will be delivered," — said A.Isaykin.

Earlier it was reported that the price of the contract for the supply to Indonesia six Sukhoi Su-30MK2 is 470 million dollars. It is the largest arms deal in the history of Russian-Indonesian military-technical cooperation.

The contract provides for the delivery not only aircraft but also spare engines, other technical equipment.

In service with the Indonesian air force already has 10 fighter "Su" — four Su-27SKM and six Su-30MK2.

Su-30MK2 — Double multi-role fighter. Aircraft weapon control system provides detection, tracking and elimination of air weapons by air, land and sea targets in all weather conditions, day and night.

The fighter can also be used to train flight crews piloting technique and the use of air weapons. Having a second crew member reduces the load on the pilot in combat missions with the use of long-range guided weapons, night operations, as well as in long flights with in-flight refueling.
