Russia increased meat production by 3 million tons

Russia in the past six years has increased the production of all kinds of meat to three million tons, First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov, on Wednesday, April 4, in an interview with TV channel "Russia 24". According to him, "this is a very large amount." Zubkov said that the greatest growth in the poultry industry — twice, in pig farming — in half. "I think hardly any European country has such a high rate of growth in the last five or six years" — Zubkov said and recalled that the state support of agricultural producers from the federal budget in 2012 will amount to 170 billion rubles, and from regional budgets will be allocated about 50 billion rubles.
