In Russia is developing shock unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which by 2020 will go into service of the Air Forces of Russia, said Air Force Commander Col. Gen. Alexander Zelin said.
"By 2020, we plan to take the Air Force drone strike. The need for such a high-tech complex is now high, "- said Zelin
He said that the Russian Air Force are already several types of unmanned aerial vehicles, but they all belong to the light, or the middle class, which greatly limits the range of their operational use.
According to the Commander of the Air Force, the development of world military affairs demonstrates the need to be in service and heavy unmanned machines that can not only "snoop" on the enemy, but also to attack it.
"We strike UAV good prospects, but to date due to the lack of completed projects is too early to speak about their effectiveness on the battlefield," — said Zelin.
