Russia’s budget surplus for the first 9 months. amounted to 1.5 trillion rubles.

Consolidated budget surplus for the first 9 months of 2012 amounted to 1.585 trillion rubles. against a surplus of 2.425 trillion rubles. for the same period last year. It is reported by the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).

Revenues of the consolidated budget of the Russian Federation amounted to 16.685 trillion rubles., Expenses — 15.1 trillion rubles. In January-September 2011 amounted to income of 15.171 trillion rubles., Expenses — 12.745 trillion rubles.

The main source of income came from the proceeds of foreign economic activity — 3.626 trillion rubles (21.7% of total revenues), insurance contributions for compulsory social insurance — 2.777 trillion rubles (16.6%), taxes, fees and regular payments for the use of natural resources — 1.857 trillion rubles (11.1%), corporate income tax — 1.732 trillion rubles (10.4%), personal income tax — 1.566 trillion rubles (9.4%), VAT on goods sold in Russia — 1.438 trillion rubles (8.6%), VAT on goods imported into the territory of the Russian Federation — 1.206 trillion rubles (7.2%). Additions of property tax amounted to 554 billion rubles, excise duties on goods produced in the territory of the Russian Federation — 578 billion rubles, excise duties on goods imported into the territory of the Russian Federation — 37.6 billion rubles.

Expenditure on social and cultural activities totaled 8.917 trillion rubles, national defense was aimed 1.217 trillion rubles. Costs on the national economy amounted to 1.913 trillion rubles, national security and law enforcement — 1.178 trillion rubles, for general government — 946 billion rubles for housing and communal services — 579.9 billion rubles for the service of the state and municipal debt — 322.0 billion.

The federal budget for the first 9 months of 2012 generated a surplus of 671.2 billion rubles, while in January-September 2011, the surplus amounted to 1,130 trillion. Revenues amounted to 9.385 trillion rubles, expenses — 8.714 trillion rubles.
