In total, Russia plans to create seven such centers. The second facility is scheduled to start soon in the Volga Federal District.

Aeronautical Search and Rescue Centre in Yekaterinburg will become the regional base for the organization of a unified system of aerospace search and rescue, provision of services on the organization of search and rescue of passengers and crew of aircraft distress or having had, search and evacuation from the landing of astronauts and landers ( except for military use of space objects), enforcement of international and domestic flights, in terms of search and rescue support, as well as air assets to assist in emergencies and disasters.

The center is a three-story building with built single-storey housing for the technical service and boxes for special equipment. Its total area is 3688 sq.m. For the construction and equipping of the center took 510 million rubles.

The new center is provided with all kinds of search equipment: to work in the mountains, under water, in the steppes and in the Far North. We even have a lifeguard equipment to communicate under water at a depth of 17 meters.

Also of particular value were cars for space research, purchased to replace an obsolete version of the machine.

Especially for Aviation Rescue Centre was set up automated information management system (AIUS KTSPS). Thanks to her, say representatives of the Federal Air Transport Agency, you can automate the organization of search and rescue of passengers, crew and aircraft evacuation of astronauts. The system allows for a short period of time to determine the coordinates of the desired object, calculate the trajectory of the most comfortable to him rescue aircraft and monitor the operations taking place.

It is worth noting that the current discovery — not only in the aviation search and rescue center of the Urals Federal District. Who started the center part, responsible for the search aircraft. The second part of the huge complex will be launched this year. It will greatly expand the area of responsibility and the possibility of rescue.
