"In accordance with the document heads of space agencies of Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine have confirmed their interest in the development of trilateral cooperation in commercial operation rocket complex" Zenith "in the project of the AAC" Baiterek ", — the report says.
Space Agency of Ukraine will send to Kazkosmos Roscosmos and its proposals on the prospects of cooperation in the framework of the project "Baiterek", after consideration of which decisions will be taken.
Agreement on the development and creation at Baikonur "Baiterek" with a high level of environmental security has been concluded between Russia and Kazakhstan in January 2004. On the creation of CBC "Baiterek" the government of Kazakhstan has allocated JSC "joint venture" Baiterek "budget loan of 223 million dollars.
Initially it was planned that "Baiterek" will be implemented on the basis of the carrier rocket "Angara", but later experts came to the conclusion that the creation of the complex on the basis of "Zenith" will significantly reduce the cost of the project.
