The European Commission has assessed the Russian state system of quality control and production safety of poultry products to companies planning to export products to the EU, said Tuesday Rosselhoznadzor.
"The test results showed that the competent veterinary authorities of Russia perform the services they provide guarantees in respect of the execution of the rules of European Union exports to its territory of poultry and poultry products," — said in a statement that results in the "Interfax".
Rosselhoznadzor over the past few years, is working hard to create a system of quality control and production safety of poultry products for enterprises interested in exporting their products to the EU.
The implementing regulations of the EU Commission on December 7, 2012 (№ 1162/2012) Russia officially permitted the import of poultry and poultry products to the countries — members of the European Union.
As the representative of Rosselkhoznadzor Alex Alekseyenko, companies wishing to export their products to the EU, will be included in the list of suppliers under warranty Rosselkhoznadzor, which will be fully responsible for the safety of the products supplied.
According to the Russian Poultry Union, Russia in 2020 could increase exports of poultry products to 0.5 million tons. This year, shipments will reach 50 million tons to 40 million tons in 2011. In addition, this year Russia will supply abroad more than 75 million eggs.
