Russian Air Force received a shipment of Mi-8AMTSh

Batch of three Mi-8AMTSh entered the aviation squadron stationed in Klin (Moscow region), the official representative of the Press and Information at the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Vladimir Deryabin Air Force.

"Helicopters followed a route Ulan-Ude — Wedge under its own power, breaking more than 5000 km, and performing intermediate landing at Air Force airfields for refueling and crew rest," — said V.Deryabin Thursday.

Transport and attack helicopter Mi-8AMTSh equipped with armored crew, remote-controlled machine gun, cover the back hemisphere. Among the weapons located on the external hardpoints — ATGM "Ataka", "Storm" and guided air-to-air missiles "Igla".
