Russian Air Force will receive 90 new Su-35s by 2020


"Su-35s — a continuation of deep modernization of the Su-27SM3. It will replace the world-famous fighter Su-27 and its variants. Until 2020, the Air Force plans to buy about 90 of these modern super-maneuverable combat aircraft," — said the representative of the Ministry of Defense. 
Drik also said that before the end of 2012 in the National Centre for training of aviation personnel and military trials of Defense of the Russian Federation (Lipetsk) to conduct military trials will go six new Sukhoi Su-35s. The fourth serial multi-role fighter of "4 + +" Su-35 was passed by "dry" the Defense Ministry for the state joint tests at the end of March, according to RIA Novosti.

"Today, the newest fighter Su-35S is undergoing another phase of testing in Akhtubinsky State Flight Test Center of the Defense Ministry of the Chkalov. All work associated with the state tests of the aircraft, are in accordance with the approved plan," — said Drik.

Serial production of the Su-35S is for Aircraft Production Association named after Gagarin (Komsomolsk-on-Amur) in accordance with the prisoner in 2009 by the state contract for the supply of the Defense Ministry. The contract for the development and delivery of 48 Russian Air Force Su-35 in 2015 was signed by "dry" and the Russian Ministry of Defense at the air show MAKS-2009 in August 2009.

Su-35 — profoundly modernized super-maneuverable multi-role fighter of "4 + +". It uses fifth-generation technologies that ensure superiority over similar class fighters. This machine — the continuation of deep modernization of the Su-27SM3. The aircraft received a new wing, a new engine, new avionics and a new management system.

The distinctive features of the aircraft are new avionics suite based on digital information control system, new radar with a phased antenna array with long-range detection of air targets, with an increased number of simultaneously tracked and engaged targets.

Su-35s can carry guided air attack (TSA) anti-radar, anti-ship guided aerial bombs and unguided TSA. Fighter’s radar signature, compared with fourth-generation aircraft, reduced several times due to conductive coating cockpit, radar absorbing coatings and coating reduced the number of protruding sensors. Life of the aircraft — six thousand flight hours, service life — 30 years of operation, the assigned resource engines with controlled nozzle — four thousand hours.
