Russian airlines for 9 months increased passenger traffic by 14.6%

MOSCOW, October 9 — Prime. Airlines Russia in January-September 2012 increased passenger traffic by 14.6% compared to the same period of the previous year — to 56.592 million people, said Federal Air Transport Agency.

The passenger load factor for the first nine months was 79.4%, up 1.6 percentage points more than the same period last year.

Passenger traffic for the period increased by 16.4% to $ 148.2 billion passenger-kilometers.

Airlines in the first nine months of this year was moved 712.662 tons of cargo and mail (0.5% growth).

Turnover increased by 2.6% — to 3,696 billion ton-kilometers.

In September, the airline carried 7,526 million passengers (an increase of 11% compared to September 2011), the passenger turnover of 19.349 billion passenger-kilometers (up 11.9%).
