Russian cosmonauts began work in outer space

August 16 Russian cosmonauts Fyodor Yurchikhin and Alexander Misurkin began work in outer space, the press service of the Russian Space Agency.

The astronauts will install handrails soft SM — MIM-2 and FGB — MIM-2, sealing gasket from the adapter to the FGB-2 MIM four power supply feeders for transmission to the power supply from the AC power MLM ISS gasket from FGB GA to MIM-2 Ethernet cable for MLM, and set on the MIM-2 panels 2A space experiment "Endurance" (aimed at investigating the influence of space on the mechanical properties of different materials), the report said.

The estimated duration of the work in outer space (from opening to closing the exit hatch) is 6 hours and 39 minutes. Alexander Misurkin second time will perform a spacewalk, and for Fedor Yurchikhin is the seventh work outside the ISS.
