Russian national rhythmic gymnastics became world champion in the team event

At the World Championships in rhythmic gymnastics, which ended on September 25 in Montpellier (France), the gymnast of the Russian national team won seven of the nine gold medals, winning the overall standings by awards.


In all, the Russians 13 medals (7 gold and 6 silver), second in the overall standings were Italian (1, 2, 0), the third — grinders (1, 0, 4).


The main contribution of the team in winning the championship are the performances of Olympic champion Evgenia Kanaeva, who won six gold medals.
