Russian gas processing and petrochemical holding Sibur and the German engineering company Linde signed an agreement in the field of operation and construction of new facilities for air separation in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region.
The company also signed an agreement pursuant to which SIBUR will provide power energy, and Linde — act supplier of industrial gases for SIBUR the long term.
Under the terms of the agreements, operating air separation unit SIBUR Dziarzhynsk located on the site will be transferred to the management of "Linde Gas Rus’. In the future, Linde own funds to build a new air separation plant to supply industrial gases — oxygen, nitrogen and compressed air — production SIBUR to produce ethylene oxide and glycols in Dzerzhinsk. Also proposed to supply industrial gases to other consumers Dzerzhinsk petrochemical hub, as well as the sale of products on the market of the Nizhny Novgorod region and other regions. Capacity of the new air separation plant will be about 30 thousand cubic meters per hour of gaseous oxygen.
