Sibur, Russia’s largest chemical holding company, has started construction of main pipelines for the transport of a broad fraction of hydrocarbons (natural gas liquids) from Pur condensate processing plant (Plant) to the production site in Tobolsk, the company said.
The pipeline is divided into two construction site, "Purovsky Plant — South Balykskaya head pumping station" length of 689 kilometers and the "South Balykskaya SOT -" Tobolsk-Neftehim "long by 417 kilometers.
The planned capacity of the new product pipeline will be more than 4 million tons per year at the site of the Pur Plant to the South Balykskaya SOT, and up to 8 million tons — from South Balykskaya STS to "Tobolsk-Petrochemicals."
General designer of the construction is a leading Russian engineering center in gas processing — "NIPIGas" (Krasnodar). Preparation of project documentation for the construction of a product pipeline was conducted for two years. The pipes are the Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant, VSW and Volga Pipe Plant. By implementing the project attracted Russian contractors, including the company’s NSCC, "Stroytransgas M" NOVA "Neftmontazh", "Stroytransgaz" SMU-4 SEC "Sibenergostroy."
The project is implemented in accordance with the national development plan, gas and petrochemical industries for the period up to 2030 and is aimed at consolidating the light hydrocarbon resources of the Yamal-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi autonomous district for transportation and deep processing of these resources at the production site in Tobolsk in the development of the West Siberian petrochemical cluster.
Until the end of 2012 to work on the project is expected to attract about 3 million people and 922 pieces of equipment with the increase in the later stages of construction. In the operating phase can be created about 500 new jobs.
On the "Tobolsk-Neftekhim" endpoint product pipeline, ongoing construction works on the construction of a new gas fractionation plant to process up to 2.8 million tons of LPG per year. Power to enterprise gas fractionation plant is up to 3.8 million tons of LPG per year. In addition, the site completed construction and installation work on the construction of the complex "Tobolsk-Polymer" design capacity of 500,000 tons of polypropylene per year.
