Sibur plans to significantly increase production and capital investments in 2011

In 2010, the company SIBUR produced 16.5 million tons of petrochemical products *, which is 6% higher than in 2009 (15.5 million tons). Release of dry gas (SOG) in 2010 amounted to 15.3 billion m3 at 14.8 billion m3 in 2009. ** Production of automobile tires has increased to 8.7 million units, up from 7.6 million units in 2009 (+14.4%).


The highest growth in the petrochemical segment recorded in the commodity business, as well as the production of monomers (+12.2%) and synthetic rubber (+27.7%). The decline in gasoline production stable gas (SNG) is associated with an increase of the pentanes as individual fractions. The slight decrease in the production of polymers due to an increase in comparison with 2009, the timing of stopping repairs in connection with the transition to a two-year business cycle turnaround.

In 2011, the expected increase in total petrochemical production to 18.8 million tons, which is 14.4% more than in 2010.

Investments aimed at the development and expansion of the business in 2010, rose to 58.5 billion rubles (in 2009 — 29 billion rubles.). The investment program for 2011 was approved in the amount of 73.4 billion rubles.

Among the completed projects in 2010 — commissioning of a new installation of low-temperature condensation on Gubkinsky gas processing plant in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, the third line of separation of isoprene rubber in Togliatti, the opening of new large-scale production of ethylbenzene and expandable polystyrene Alphapor in Perm. Also, began commercial production of improved butadiene-styrene synthetic rubber in Voronezh, Kemerovo, "Orton" started producing non-woven geotextile Kanvalan, extended car fleet of the company, purchased transportation infrastructure and the enterprise for the production of polymer films in the Samara region.

Also last year, began active construction on the largest investment the company’s facilities in Leningrad, Tyumen and Nizhny Novgorod regions.
