Sudozavod Pella has completed testing tug Sfinksa for Freeport

JSC "Leningrad Shipyard" Pella " finished running, traction and escort tug test project Sfinksa 16609 for Freeport. The press service of the shipyard.
Tests confirmed the indicators of stability and maneuverability. The tractive force is 47.7 tons, the holding force when the escort — 49.9 tons. Currently, the ship is preparing to move into the area of operation.
Length of the tow — 28.5 m, width 9.5 m, depth — 4.8 m, overall depth — 3.5 m, speed — about 12 knots.


Recall that in August 2011 it was announced that JSC "Leningrad Shipyard" Pella "won the tender for the supply of a new tugboat for Freeport. The suggested price of Russian enterprise tug was 6,350,000 euros. "Pella" was the only bidder.

Shipyard "Pella" was founded in 1950. In 1992 the company was privatized. The structure of the company is built on the principle of the holding company and includes the head office and a number of subsidiaries. The factory is specialized in the construction of tugs for Russian customers.
