Small missile ship (MRC) of the new generation of "Hail Svijazhsk" project 21631 ("Buyan-M") first appeared in the Caspian Sea for the first phase of the factory running tests (ZHI), reported in the press service of the Southern Military District.
"Within a week, while at sea, without calling at a port-based commissioning works team in conjunction with the ship’s crew will test all types of ship’s weapons test running performance and the quality of the ship, the main work of the power plant, the interaction of all the ship’s systems, devices and mechanisms," — said in a statement.
During testing Zelenodol shipyard workers Gorky train crew maintenance and the practical application of naval guns, systems, devices and mechanisms.
The press service of the county noted that all the steps of the state tests will be conducted in the Caspian Sea. Acceptance and inclusion of a ship in the Caspian Flotilla is scheduled for October-November 2013.
Ships of the upgraded project "Desperado", unlike their predecessors, have a greater displacement (949 tons) and equipped with the latest high-precision long-range missiles — a versatile missile system ‘Caliber-NK "intended to destroy marine and coastal targets. Their architectural appearance is made to meet the requirements to reduce the radar cross section ("stealth technology"). The lead ship of the project "City Svijazhsk" was laid to Zelenodol’sk Gorky shipyard in August 2010, a second ship — "Uglich" — in July 2011.
