Tatishchev rocket division armed with 60 plants Topol-M

MOSCOW, April 18 — RIA Novosti. Tatishchev missile division of strategic rocket forces armed with 60 launchers, "Topol-M", said the commander, Colonel-General Sergei Karakayev in Moscow on Thursday.

"Now Tatishchev missile division is equipped with 60 launchers," Topol-M "- said Karakayev on the military history of the conference dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the birth of the hero of Russia, the Russian Marshal Sergeyev. 

He added that the re-division on these launchers was completed last year.

Tatishchev and Teykovskogo missile divisions — the first of the Russian divisions, fully re-equipment of a fifth-generation ("Yars" and "Topol-M").

RT-2PM2 "Topol-M" — Russia’s strategic missile systems, developed in the late 1980’s — early 1990’s on the basis of a complex of RT-2PM "Topol". The first ICBM developed in Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Maximum range three-stage, solid-fuel rocket — 11,000 kilometers. Carries a thermonuclear warhead capacity of 550 kilotons.

In mine-based version entered service in 2000. Over the next decade, "Topol-M" may be the basis of weapons of Strategic Missile Forces.
