Tekhnopromexport launched the trial operation of hydroelectric power plant number 3 "Naglu" in Afghanistan. The contract for the modernization of hydroelectric power "Naglu" was signed between Technopromexport and the Ministry of Energy and Water in Afghanistan August 30, 2006. Under the terms of the contract Tekhnopromexport supplies, assembly, repair and adjustment of main and auxiliary equipment hydroelectric overage.
The Ministry of Energy and Water in Afghanistan interested in the speedy commissioning of power plant "Naglu" because of the ever-growing power shortage in the country and the need to import electricity. After the reconstruction of the total generating capacity of hydropower "Naglu" will be 100 MW (4×25 MW).
In Afghanistan Tekhnopromexport built thermal power plants in Mazar-e Sharif, GES ‘Puli Khumri — 2 "plant" Naglu "and HPP" Darunta "and built a different voltage power lines with a total length of more than 1800 km.
