Tests Scorpion LSHA B / Part 1


In late May, at the site of Defense of the Russian Federation were held shooting tests and trials to undermine the Scorpius-LSHA B. Fully implemented tactical and technical MEET THE REQUIREMENTS Defense Ministry.

The sequence of explosions: 600 gr. under the geometric center of the capsule (after the explosion of the car retained the ability to move under its own power, that is wound up and gone), then 2 kg under the rear right wheel and 4 kg under the front left wheel. All explosive devices — non-enveloped.
When explosions in the car mount the sensor sound pressure and acceleration (including a dummy), as well as pig and three rabbits.

In the period from 07 to 12 March 2011 together with the specialists of the Defense Ministry and OJSC "KAMAZ" in landfills Germany in Ulm (ballistic tests) and in Shrobenhauzene (testing at undermining) conducted special tests to determine the protective properties when exposed to damaging factors modern weapons.
At the trials attended by Chief of Armored Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, General Director of JSC "KAMAZ", the chief designer of "KAMAZ" and other defense officials and military industry.
Two days of Russian specialists carried out attacks IVECO specialized armor-piercing incendiary bullets B-32 with ballistic trunk of 7.62 x 54. It is from such a weapon manufacturer guarantee complete protection on the third level of STANAG 4569 (it corresponds to the Russian 6a class ballistic on GOST 50963-96). The shelling was coming from different distances in all kinds of car seat: joints armor plates, the edges of the glass, in order to find vulnerabilities. The first day was made 150 shots, the second — about 60. No penetration has been achieved. 
It was then produced two car bomb IVECO: under the front left wheel and under the bottom.
As an explosive device on the first day was used 6.4 kg of TNT. The process of blasting shot from different angles by several video cameras that were installed including the inside of the car. In the driver’s seat has a special dummy, fully simulate the human body. 

 

 

The explosion destroys the front undercarriage, heavily damaging the engine, but bronekapsuly intact. Luke deliberately made so that swing open in an explosion and thereby protect the crew from excessive pressure. Inside the car, damage limited to offset the steering column (the contact with the driver was not) and chipped plastic front panel.
Inspection showed that the dummy driver, who was closest to the point of explosion, do not hurt, just flown away a piece of the panel it is slightly torn trousers and cut his leg below the knee. Sensors detect that the limit is exceeded, overload for the human body was not.

    On the second day were produced by two of shell explosion of an explosive device under the passenger seat to the right of the driver‘s seat and under the rear right seat. The explosion destroyed suspended on silent blocks V-shaped steel mine protection, but the bottom bronekapsuly only slightly swollen. Penetration did not occur.
