Jury selection

Within a month, the jury tirelessly to read posts of participants, divided into categories. Afterwards, members of the jury, independently of each other, had a post-graduation parties from best to worst. Next, the "place" in the party recalculated scores. Participant in last place gets 1 point, the next after him — 2 points, the winner received the highest possible rating in the category. Prizes were determined by summing the scores from each member of the jury.

As a result of our winners are:

In "Natural Science applied disciplines (chemistry, physics, technology, etc.)"

1st place. Unfortunately or fortunately, never came to define the best in this category, so much talent and diversity of the participants were. The winners were two — Aleksey Yakovlev for the post "Man vs Woman"And Arkady Kuramshin for the series "Lots of great substance"

In "Genesis of Science (general science stuff, thinking about the scientific method, history and philosophy of science, etc.)"

It was assumed that fall into this category posts that do not pertain to a particular science, but rather to the scientific method, and everything else that is related to science. It was probably the hardest category for the jury, which caused a lot of controversy. As a result of these disputes trio of winners is as follows:

1st place — Andrew Rostovtcev for the post "About perpetual motion or spoiled phone"

2nd place — Renat Atayev for the post "On science and science"

3rd place — Alexander Panchin for the post "This text contains GMOs"

Popular cry

The reader’s vote was as follows: the site were posted links to all the posts that have passed initial selection committee. List of posts updated on the applications received, and the vote for each of them lasted for one month, that no one was hurt.

With a vote of readers, we decided to experiment and asked them to make an assessment on several pre-defined criteria. The experiment, in our opinion, was not very good. Popular bloggers get a lot of votes, with the highest ratings in all categories, and the assessment depended not only on content but also on properly conducted advertising.

The evaluation considered the following formula: Final score = "general impression" x 0.5 + "Clarity" x 0.2 + "urgency" x 0.2 + "original" X 0.1

Here is a list of winners by category with estimates, expressed as a percentage of the maximum possible. In summarizing the results, it was decided not to consider the participants, which was given less than ten votes. In addition, the derivation of the final grades are not taken into account the positions of those who, for all four proposed featured assessed "1 — Very poor."

Unfortunately, the Media Center of Moscow State University did not find among the bids posts on the scientific achievements of the University and, therefore, to present the prizes no one can.
