The diesel-electric Vasily Golovin provided 11 Argentine stations in Antarctica

The diesel-electric "Vasily Golovin" of "Far Eastern Shipping Company" (FESCO) has completed providing 11 Argentine stations in Antarctica, the press service of the Company.

The diesel-electric "Vasily Golovin" engaged in the work to ensure the 54 stations of the day — from 26 January to 19 March 2012. During that time, it was handled 6,882 tons of cargo, including delivered via on board the ship helicopter 5341 ton. "Vasily Golovin" delivered and took the cargo from the stations: Esperanza, San Martin, Marambio, Orcadas, Petrer, Dzhubani, Primavera, Desepshin, Camara, Brown and Melchior.

At present, the diesel-electric sent to the Argentine port of Bahia Blanca for bunkering and ship owner for further instructions.
