The Indians signed a treaty with Russia for the licensed production of shells

Indian Army plans to buy 25,000 missiles "Invar" for its T-90 tanks. Of this number, 10,000 rounds planned to buy directly in Russia, and another 15,000 — to produce in India under license from Russia.

 

NEW DELHI, Aug. 20 — RIA Novosti.Indian Ministry of Defence has signed a contract with the Indian company Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) to supply party products it under the Russian license guided missiles "Invar" to arm the T-90 tanks, said on Tuesday the newspaper Hindu.

The transaction value is estimated at $ 470 million. It is expected that the supply of ammunition for the army to be completed within five years.

At the end of last year, India and Russia signed two contracts to supply the Indian Army Russian guided missiles "Invar" and anti-tank missiles "Competition".

The media reported that the army of India intends to purchase 25 thousand shells "Invar" for T-90 tanks that are in service in India. Of this number, 10,000 rounds planned to buy directly in Russia, and another 15,000 — to produce in India under license from Russia.
