The new bridge over the river. Prosnitsa in Kirov-Chepetsky district

Happy October 20 opened to traffic on the new bridge over the river Prosnitsa (Kirov-Chepetsky district of the Kirov region) in the village of Perekop.

For a long time the traffic in Perekop (site of the regional route Kirov — Kirov-Chepetsk — Zuevka — Falenki — Demakov — border of the Republic of Udmurtia) was carried out on the old bridge from the 1950’s with the narrow roadway. Next to the old design was launched and a new bridge, but its construction was frozen in the early 2000s due to lack of funding. At the beginning of August 2011 in Perekop work began on the reconstruction of the bridge.

Failed to complete the reconstruction of the week ahead of time. Start of transport on the new bridge was originally scheduled for November 1, 2011.
