Russian Defense Ministry in 2012 will receive the newest radio station "Passion", told journalists on Friday, Russian Defence Minister Anatoly Serdyukov.
"This year, we have to get the first batch — 2.5 thousand radio stations. This station is unique in every way, as it works with all existing types of radio stations. It is better protected, a new generation of radio" — Serdyukov said during a visit to the factory of microelectronics "Angstrom".
In turn, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said that Russia has learned after the operation to force Georgia to peace in 2008. "This operation has forced us to learn in terms of military communications," — he noted.
Radio station "Passion" — the latest development of Russian specialists ("Angstrom" Zelenograd). Its distinguishing feature is that it can provide a link to the different ranges and types of communications, including cellular.
Work on the complex "Passion" was launched in 2009 at the initiative of the Ministry of Defense and involves the creation of line broadband radios for effective communication at the tactical level of management. The complex is fully provides the necessary secrecy of work and protection from external influences enemy radio equipment and is compatible with the previous generation.
