The new steel plant UMMC-Steel in Tyumen is connected to a single

the national energy system

Substation steel plant UMMC-Steel, is being built in Tyumen, connected to a unified national electric grid (UNEG). Currently, there are completed commissioning and comprehensive testing equipment. Connecting the main process units and shops of the plant is planned to be completed within one month.

Grid connection to the substation plant under construction to the grid fulfilled OAO "UES FGC". For the issuance of the necessary power OAO "UES FGC" built loop approach 220 kV transmission lines, upgrade of equipment held outdoor switchgear (ORU-220 kV) substation 500 kV "Tyumen" and Tyumen CHP-2, as well as the reconstruction of relay protection and automation , emergency control systems, high-frequency and fiber optic communications.

For equipment metallurgical plant at 1 stage it is possible consumption of electric power up to 65 MW. When the designed capacity of the planned plant will consume estimates about 120 MW.

Recall that the launch of metallurgical plant to produce long products in Tyumen is planned in 2013. Its construction is realized in the framework of a cooperation agreement between the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company and the Government of the Tyumen region. The plant is designed to produce 545 thousand tons of long steel in the year, designed for the construction industry, oil and gas companies and engineering.
