The new strategy AvtoVAZ!

And now, ladies and gentlemen, I will show you something that very few people have seen.

Remember, in August, I asked Komarov: Will there be any changes in the strategy of development of VAZ 2020 in connection with the proposed purchase of Iz-Auto? Komarov said then, yes, we are working on it, in the autumn will show an updated version of the Strategy.

And here it is. The official presentation of the document was not, it has not been approved by the shareholders. I was waiting for this issue will make for an extraordinary meeting held on October 19 — but there’s nothing like it had not been discussed. Apparently, the final version of the strategy so far. But the basic position, however, already known. Preparing the strategy is still the same company — BCG, which has worked on last year’s version.

Of the current "draft" that vazovtsami see Iz-car is not factory-old garbage collector, and a full VAZ production site. "Lada" there will be produced only by 2012, "Samara" — until 2013. Then will begin production in Izhevsk "Grants", and the hatchback of a car, called LADA C. However, on another slide about LADA C says otherwise: this car will appear on the main line in Togliatti mid-2016. Which, of course, more in line with reality. Since 2014 Izhevsk will make Nissan, and in 2015 the first — B-Cross (read — Duster). In the 2012th were added to the C-Cross.

Thus, the IJ-Auto fully goodbye to outdated models in the next year and a half and will start a whole new life under the protection of VAZ. And to be quite accurate — under the protection of the Alliance.

You know, I was sure that the Alliance uses Iz-Auto to build business models, it would be very far-sighted on their part. But about trucks and vans in the Strategy is nothing! The only thing that can get caught, so it’s a fact that the model is not named "Nissan", which will be done in Izhevsk. Not even a class named car. This leaves vazovtsami Alliance and certain room for maneuver: the string can specify in any way, including in the form of a commercial model. But it seems to me that the commercial machines in the Alliance plans to another company, and Iz-Auto will collect what at the moment seems the most relevant. That it would be impossible to predict now, because this line is not specified.

WHA himself had planned an even more ambitious innovations, and which were not mentioned in last year’s version of the strategy. For example, the assembly of the two "Nissans". Being in Tolyatti I marveled at the number of Japanese people scurrying around the plant. So, all these crowds of hard-working Asians drove in the WHA, not only for the sake of LB1A, there launch another "nissanovskim" model. LB1A will appear in the next year, and a year later — Nissan KD, this machine is the C-Class. Finally, Niva-3 will go into production in 2015. And, again, it is not clear what this site is selected, vazovskuyu or GM-AvtoVAZ.

By 2017, the WHA will have an annual production at 1,145,000 vehicles, 20 new models on 4 platforms, the market share of 25% (40% — along with the Alliance) and tripled in comparison with today’s profits.
