The parade of innovators in the exhibition Open Innovations Expo (photos)

Robot "Plastun" mikrobioreaktor "Homunculus" Building Management System "Tron", the material from which made the detector of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, and other domestic developments at Open Innovations Expo.

From October 31 to November 3, at the exhibition center on Moscow, as part of the International Forum "Open Innovation", an exhibition Open Innovations Expo. According to the organizers, the exhibition was attended by 350 companies from 15 countries, which showed more than 1,000 innovations; total area of the exhibition halls was more than 20,000 square meters.

The show was spectacular. Bright to such an extent that illuminates the pictures, light, large stands; girls to "samobeglyh scooters", robots, unsuccessfully tries to blend in with the crowd.

Sometimes the feeling that you are in a fantastic movie. For example, the glass walls of a modest stand somewhere in the corner of the hall suddenly became opaque, and then — again transparent. Glass called Smart glass, which can change the transparency under the influence of electricity — is not that new, but to the "untrained" viewer, it makes a strong impression. Because of its high cost of "smart glass" is rarely used. There could be happy for domestic inventors, but alas — it invented the glass and is made not in our country, and stand belongs to one of the companies which is engaged in the sale of the Russian.

On the other hand, there is something to be proud and Russian developers. Here is a modest, discreet piece silica airgel on the stand, Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences. This — transparent material with unique properties. Aerogels have the lowest thermal conductivity, speed of sound (100 meters per second) and the dielectric constant of all known solid state physics. Materials based on amorphous silicon dioxide are used in everyday life (for sound insulation), they produce and abroad, but such high quality — only at the Institute of Catalysis. GK Boreskova in Novosibirsk. Few people know that here was made airgel detectors for the Large Hadron Collider (CERN, Geneva) and the International Space Station LPSC Grenoble able to detect high-energy charged particles.

The theme of science fiction continues "smart home. " Technology of e-resource management of buildings (ie, lighting, ventilation, heating systems, control, etc.) is not new and is quite common, so come up with something completely new in this area is not easy. I remember the management interfaces such systems from a science fiction movie — big screens, which were shown three-dimensional models, such as space stations or large buildings. Motion of the hand model can be rotated, zoom in, and pressing the softkey, see separate floors of the building and manage any room or a whole floor. In fact, we just quietly moved from fiction to reality, and described building management interface called "Throne" (Which clearly alludes to the fantasy film of the same name). It should be noted that as actuators Chinese technique used, but Russian developers practically embodied in the "hardware" one of the essential elements of the fantastic interiors — the touch-screen interface. It is not only beautiful, but also easy to use and convenient. If desired (or lack of money) to control the "smart home" instead of expensive specialized touch panels can be used and the usual tablet. And you can use it to monitor the movement of people in the building — having involved for this system of badges. In this case, the display will show who is currently passes through the control points. And to complete the picture, you can add the automatic facial recognition of the Russian firm Vocord — In this case, and the Pass is not required, it will be enough just to pass the camera and smile at the same time is not required.

And, of course, robots — what a future without them? However, at the exhibition, we have not seen any "mechanical men" no fun cheep nightstands with lamps. Strictly speaking, most of the robots that have been presented here were not exactly robots, but rather a remote-controlled cars. The most "intelligent" devices on the stand "Intelligent systems and robots" were (oddly sad it sounds to the other robots) Korean businesslike automatic vacuum cleaners, which are available for sale now at electronics stores. But Russian developments from the bench, according to their purpose seemed rather "hard." Periodically checking out on secret missions to enemy stands black and silent "Plastun" is used in the army to carry out intelligence operations, information collection and transmission, transportation of special cargo. Robotic complex "Cobra-1600" is designed to work on the study and a mine suspicious objects. Both of these devices have been developed in the scientific and educational center "Robotics" Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

In an environment of "serious" devices, among which were underwater, and tracked vehicles, quietly "sitting" prototype robot designer, developed Ltd. "The laboratory robots" and the National Research Institute "MIET". This constructor will be used to teach the basics of robotics and control theory in schools, colleges and other educational institutions, as well as, perhaps, in the future it will be able to buy anyone. With a robot designer can collect simple (and if you use multiple sets — even complex) model, for example, to make a robotic arm, an electronic gate, the biped robot, etc. Assembled from modules designer robot spider on commands from the laptop took a strange posture and pounded on the table legs. Also on the stand of intelligent systems demonstrated robots participating international robotics competition EUROBOT 2012.

Stand in front of a robot, as opposed to "heavy metal", was posted platform for international non-profit project FabLab, most of the elements of which were made of wood. "Fablab" — workshop, equipped with modern machines, which can realize their projects and ideas. Computer-controlled machines allow you to cut and milled wood, plastic, aluminum, various films, to make printed circuit boards, and a three-dimensional printer, you can create any piece of plastic. Interestingly, this simple description hides a rather serious ideology. The first "Fablab" appeared recently at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States. Today it is a network of laboratories digital manufacturing, the purpose of which — to help people by creating things instead of buying them. At the same time emphasizes the non-commercial activities "Fablabov" — is just a tool and assistant for the implementation of plans, but not the production workshop. Moscow "Fablab" organized at NUST "MISiS", developed by the same principles as the rest of the laboratory in the world of digital production.

And, of course, what a fantastic no "clones". In a small tablet "Homunculus", mikrobioreaktora represented SEC "BioKlinikum" created the conditions for the maintenance of life cells of the liver, intestines, heart and lungs "one hundred thousand people." Of course, the developers are not intended to create an artificial man, but they believe that such a system can be very useful for the screening of new pharmaceuticals and selection of individual schemes for the treatment of patients alre
ady known drugs.

On the grounds of the Fund "Skolkovo" Foundation and "Promotion of Small Enterprises in Science and Technology" is not exhibited items, and programs to support innovation. As examples of implemented with the assistance of these funds projects were shown some of the most spectacular. Drew the attention of the "futuristic" Personalized workstation iClubby, created Russian family firm "Gravitonus Soft". All items are hand-made to your specifications workstation — monitors, workspace, chair, lighting, can be moved together with the change in body position on who is in it, and to ensure maximum comfort. It is difficult to say whether this development is good for society, but it is certainly interesting.

Nearby, on the court RUSNANO, demonstrated LEDs Russian production; basalt yarns and structural components thereof; windows, which not only have very low thermal conductivity, but also self-cleaning dirt. Under the window you can turn on the lamp and make sure that they, in contrast to "normal" does not pass heat.

On the stand of the Government of Moscow designers has been recreated a piece of the Moscow streets with benches, small trees and blue sky. Next to it was possible to look at LED lighting, a new bus station and electric car "Mitsubishi", connected to the charge.

The site of the Ministry of Education of Russia was "exhibition in the exhibition", which were shown a variety of projects developed in various universities of the country. They included, for example, the scanning camera with a resolution of 200 megapixels and a large dynamic range, which is designed for accurate digitization of works of art and architectural monuments; website, which can be used as a common whiteboard and create charts and graphs in the discussion of the project or communication with partners a range of simulators and simulations for engineers, technicians and machine operators; prototype race car, and many other different instruments and projects for a variety of applications.

At the stands of companies involved in the organization of production and the supply of equipment, it was possible to see the "big guns" of modern high technology — the machine by which is created and tested the most modern microelectronics.

The pavilion regional representatives drew attention to Russia training complex for surgeons, created by the firm of Kazan "Eidos" — With rubber patient lying on the operating table and all the necessary equipment and monitors. According to the company, these simulators are half the price of similar imported, but in no way inferior to them, and all in the world there are only five companies producing such equipment.

The exhibition focused on not only the technology, but also art. In several rooms exhibited objects of art created with the help of modern technology — the picture painted by the laser brush, and sounding abstract sculptures, waking up the heat waves of the human hand or brain. In these rooms you can relax from the hustle and bustle and think a little about that, carried away by technology, we should not forget the humanity and common feelings.
