In Moscow, 20-21 March 2012 passed XII International Scientific and Technical Conference "Prospects of development of electric power. Energy efficiency and conservation ", organized by the International Association TRAVEK with the support of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Academy of Electrical Sciences of Russia, the Russian National Committee of CIGRE, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, JSC" ELEKTROZAVOD. "
The conference was attended by more than 150 specialists research institutes, power engineering enterprises and companies from Russia, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Turkey, United States, South Korea, the Republic of Belarus and the Ukraine.
The papers presented at the conference discussed developments in the field of energy saving for the transmission, distribution and consumption of electrical energy, new energoeffetivnogo electrical equipment, research and development and prospects of companies — manufacturers of electrical equipment.
Speakers at the conference highlighted the relevance of energy efficiency in power generation and industry. Addressing energy efficiency and energy security in the electric power was defined as the solution to a number of pressing problems:
- energy security and energy efficiency in the development of electric power systems and the application of new technologies and equipment for the generation, transmission, distribution and consumption of electrical energy (long-term project).
- ensuring energy efficiency and energy security in the existing power system (the project today.)
The issues of prospects of development of electric power industry: the rational uses of energy (gas, coal, hydro, fuel for nuclear power plants) to produce electrical energy with the energy security of Russia, the prospects of development of small power, the program of modernization of the Russian power industry for the period up to 2020 and t . etc.
The conference presented the development of energy-efficient electrical equipment: power and distribution transformers, converter equipment for the transmission and HVDC, power cables, compact and self-supporting insulated wires, electrical equipment development using technologies "warm" temperature superconductivity, storage of electrical energy, and more innovative electrical equipment.
At the conference it was decided to recommend the large national power grid corporations in the development and reconstruction of electric networks to analyze the possibility of application of direct current to reduce the short-circuit current and improve the manageability of the mains. To provide financing for investment programs to develop national standards for high-voltage electrical equipment, aimed at improving the competitiveness of energy saving equipment and software, as well as make purchases of power and distribution transformers to the cost of losses in equipment for the entire service life. Manufacturers of electrical equipment to recommend the development of new types of equipment to pay special attention to energy saving.
An important outcome of the conference was to discuss the issue of construction in Russia of integrated high-voltage test center, on the basis of which will be full-blown type-tested switchgear and withstand tests on transformers.
